2nd Annual Bar Crawl

A flurry of alarms put a damper on our annual outing.

and Brother Korb for making the outing.  Brother Christello was quoted as saying
"I've already been out" but nobody saw him, and he told Sister Steedman he
"was tired and was going home."

The golf outing did not go as smoothly as planned.  Oh, it started out ok, but after Kover said "Oyster Shooters" at Smitty's, it was all downhill from there.  The evening ended up with "The Jester's Sport II" and "The Wilson" being pulled over by the MD Natural Resources Police.  We got off with a warning, thanks to the fire department rap.  Anyway, everybody is alive and has all 10 fingers and 10 toes, so the night was a success.  See you in the spring!

Ducks was a blast!

A great time with great friends.

There were plenty of cards handed out, hopefully it will produce some quality new blood for the brotherhood.

A special FOOLS trip out to the 1 Mile sea buoy produced some awesome pics, but more are promised, so when all have arrived, the best will be posted for your enjoyment.
A quick note, Brian "Wannabe" Winter was in the pictures again.

INDY WAS A SUCCESS
We are all back with all ten fingers and all ten toes.  The training was awesome.  Although a little beat up from HOT classes such as Trench Rescue, Structural Collapse, and Firefighter Safety & Survival, it was well worth the time and effort.  As a matter of fact, we were so busy training and attending seminars, we neglected to take any photographs!  I guess the trip will have to stay alive in our memories.

FOOLS International put on a great party for members and non-members alike.  It was a great chance to swap war stories and see old friends.  Although many words of wisdom were shared at the microphone from FOOLS from all across the nation, the greatest quote uttered was

"If you don't love this job, get the FUCK out!"

I could not have said it better myself.  A special thanks to all those who made the annual pilgrimage.  I know it is tough being away from family, friends, and work, but I am certain we all feel it was worth it.

We initiated a new member while in Indy.  Welcome to the Ocean City FOOLS's first female member, Kelly A. Nelson.  I am sure she will uphold the tradition.  She committed to Indy did she not?  That is more than I can say for a lot of firefighters!  It is also interesting to note that all the FDIC 2002 attendees from the OCVFC are FOOLS except for Assistant Fire Chief Chris Larmore.

for some suds and sights.
For those of you who missed the evening,

The first Saturday in April of 2003
will be the 2nd Annual OC FOOLS Bar Crawl.
